5 Fun Facts About George Washington

Here are some fun facts that you probably didn’t know about George Washington
1. At six feet, two inches tall, and two-hundred pounds he was one of our biggest presidents
2.He bred hound dogs that he gave some unusual names, such as Tartar, True Love, and Sweet Lips
3. New York City, and later, Philadelphia were the nation’s capitals when he was president.
4. By the time Washington was president, he had only one tooth of his own. Some say his false teeth were wooden. Actually they were made of elephant, and walrus tusks and cow, hippo, and even Human teeth.
5. After Washington was elected, no one knew what to call him. Some ideas were His Elective Majesty, His Elective Highness, Your Mightiness, and His Highness the President of the United  States and Protector of the Rights of
the Same.

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809. He was the 16th president of the United States. Lincoln is the tallest president of the United States for now and used to carry all his important papers in his tall hat. The vice president was Hannibal Hamlin and First lady at the time was Mary Todd Lincoln. His nicknames include Honest Abe and the Railsplitter. He was running against Jefferson Davis. President Lincoln was the first President to be assassinated and was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. Lincoln also wrote a very important speech, the Gettysburg Address. The Gettysburg address was wrote on June 1 1865. He did not stop slavery but he freed most of the states slavery laws and got our country back together.
